“A Million Kisses In Your Lifetime” by Monica Murphy is a love story between two elites, Crew Lancaster and Wren Beaumont.
Its a high school romance between the good girl Wren and bad boy Crew.
Typical.
What makes this book so special?
Characters
To begin with Wren Beaumont, she’s daddy’s little princess. The perfect epitome for purity. Every girl likes her. Or at least pretend to like her. And every guy wants to ruin her. Pretty much the usual Lancaster Academy stuff.
If I have to talk about Crew Lancaster, he’s the classic high school delinquent. Smoking on campus and hooking up with girls, the general jerk. He’s nothing special than any other Lancaster.
But when he finally got Wren to talk to him, the change in his is remarkable. The Crew Lancaster we saw in the beginning of the book changed into a better person.
How The Story Progresses?
The book begins with Crew striving for Wren’s attention. Yes, I said it right.
Crew wanted to get Wren’s attention from the beginning of high school. And he finally got his attention when he was paired up with her for an assignment.
As they started spending time together, their bond grew stronger. And as their bond became stronger, their romance grew sweeter.
Lots of things kept happening in the school. Like a student getting into a relationship with a teacher, which is a crime. The teacher getting arrested and the student being pregnant. The book didn’t lack when it came to drama.
Now back to Crew and Wren’s romance, It’s tooth rotting sweet. Wren is pretty daring when it comes to exploring sexual fantasies. Well, daring eno0ugh for a virgin. And Crew keeps up with her speed, never pushing her too far.
The story has no phase of misunderstanding or miscommunication.
There’s this one part about lipsticks and paintings which is really beautiful. That part contains a huge impact in the story.
My Opinion
I love this book. Straight up love it enough to read it at least 3 times in a row. It was entertaining, romantic, and really hot.
Crew and Wren’s bond is something I really like. Especially how they compliment each other so perfectly and completely. Their relation is enough wholesome to make me cry.
There was a part in the book where Crew sends lipsticks to Wren for her to kiss him while wearing those. And I have to say it made me a little jealous of Wren.
But outside of all these factors it was a high school romance novel. A romance between teenagers. Monica Murphy kept a nice balance between the innocence of teenage love along with the spiciness of teenage romance.
This book also showed appreciation for arts. I myself got a few inspirations out of this book!
